E-Visa...How Do We Verify Status?

Our travel agent says that it's electronically tagged to our passport. But we want to be able to verify it just in case our agent made a mistake. We don't want any mistakes at port of entry..
Nack:
I made our reservations by phone with Qantas (LAX to SYD) and they took care of the E Visa. You might try the airline and see if they have a record of it.
John

Thanks Muck, that answers the question. We will ask our travel agent for a printout of the confirmation before we pay for our trip.

I wanted a number or confirmation but the Qantas telephone agent did not give me one. I did not have any problems when arriving in Sydney, though.

I flew United to Sydney. I did not get a printout of the Visa number, but the United reservations agent gave me the number over the phone and I made a note of it. I called the airline a couple of days later to be sure it was in the computer, and it was. I, too, had no problems entering Australia.
