Minami Jujisei is a great Japanese restaurant on Beach Street in Queenstown. Apparently it is often voted as one of NZ's best Japaense restaurants.

Museli seems to be a common cereal.

Sounds as if I may buy the Museli to snack on. I actually mix peanuts, hydrated fruit and dark chocolate with my dry Cheerios snack.

(And, I hated Cheerios, with or without milk, as a kid. Sometimes still can't believe I snack on it now.)

The Museli has a few ingredients that are unknown to me but I'll try about anything once.

We liked Oxford on Avon and Chancery on Lane in CHC. Both located in the CBD in walking distance from the cathedral.
In Queenstown we liked Roaring Meg's.

I note you have mentioned cheerios a few times in your messages with reference to the US breakfast cereal. In NZ as with Aus cheerios are a small sausage with a red skin. Kids like them (Well mine do anyway).

Scan the supermarket ailses and I am sure you will find cereals that are the same as the ones you have at home. Just different names for different markets.

Can't help on the restaurant front as I never can remeber the names of the good ones (At least not in Queenstown and ChCh). If you were asking about Auckland I could give you a hand there though.

If you like Indian food, I'd highly recommend Little India. There's one in Queenstown and I think there might be one in Christchurch as well.

No, there doesn't appear to be a Teuscher shop in NZ. Here's a list of their stores. You can always order online.

If you are driving via Mt Cook, try the Old Library Cafe in Fairlie (assuming they are still in business, I was there in 2003).

Favourite New Zealand Restaurants :-
Auckland - Antoinnes in Parnell.. small, but very classy upmarket French Restaurant. A real foodies choice
Auckland - White - Sydneyish kind of modern restaurant with excellent views
Taupo - The Bach, great modern restaurant, with excellent wine list
Christchurch - Sign of the Takahe, since it was taken over last year it has had a massive new lease of life. Kitchen has upgraded considerably, and the service is absolutely first rate. Great location
Fairlie - The Old Library. well worth a stop on the way down to Queenstown
Queenstown - The Bunker, small and intimate, but Queenstown's classiest restaurant
Gantley's - always a favorite. good food and amazing wine list, although a little way out of town
