Where have you been this summer?

Hello everybody!
We kicked off our "Show Us Your Summer Vacation" contest yesterday and already we've received tons of photos and their stories from members.

We're showing many of the entries in a slide show that we'll be updating all of the time.

Check out the photos and stories that are there now:
http://www.fodors.com/contest/summer...on/entries.cfm

You can enter by selecting "Submit Your Photo" at the bottom of the screen.

For more contest details:

Thanks for sharing! I looked at each and every one of the entries. Some really excellent photography! So many great places to visit on this wonderful planet we call home.

Me, I'm headed back to Bangkok in a couple of weeks, and then Hawaii in September. I probably won't enter the contest... but we'll wait and see. I might just get that perfect moment to point and shoot...

Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

Carol

Thanks Katie.

I've entered the contest. I'm not likely to win, but was excited to see that my photo made it on to the website!

Carol....week after next I will be taking some well-deserved R&R up in San Francisco. I've booked myself into a 4-star and expect to be pampered. I hope they have a car service, so that I don't have to slep the shopping bags back to the hotel. I really wish that downtown S.F. had a Four Seasons then I wouldn't have to worry about such. I'm a big FS fan. Although I like Ritz Carlton, I think the one up there is a bit too stuffy. FS is more laid back.
I've looked up the top ten Thai restaurants in the city so I'll do Thai and pretend I'm in BK. Smiles.
It will be weird being on a 45-minute non-stop flight instead of a 17 and a half hour non-stop flight. Maybe I should have flown from L.A. TO S.F by way of Hawaii or something so that I'd feel like I'm really flying somewhere. Smiles. Happy Travels!

... "I really wish that downtown S.F. had a Four Seasons" ...

... (well, and just between us, 'guen' : unless something rather drastic has occurred over the past few minutes, rumour has it, a Four Seasons property does indeed exist on marvelous Market Street in sweet San Francisco ... (my parents' fourth SF hotel favourite, after the Huntington, Campton Place, and Ritz Carlton ... (sadly, they choose not to stay at my little two-bedroom condo den of iniquity ... but do feel free to make an offer: the mrs. and I are pretty much SIN and BKK homeowners these days) ...

... (and yes: just know you love Bangkok and the 'old Four Seasons' (Regent) ... (will never forget a lovely little girl from the 'Swiss Perfection' salon ... starched white 'nurses' uniforms - Forever) ...

... as always, joyous, uplifting (SQ) rides to you ...

macintosh (robert)

... "I never let that girl out of my shop!" ...

Thanks. I'll look it up. When I booked my trip on Expedia, the FS didn't pop up on the long list of hotels, so I thought the only FS was the one at Half Moon Bay...I think it is. Happy Travels!
