The challenge of visiting Myanmar is of course that there is not a lot of information out there - other than what those of us who have already been there will tell you. Dogster has nailed it pretty well, as usual.
You can read my report too. We did all those "famous" tourist stops but we had 4 days so there was plenty of other interesting stuff in between:

dogster is quite right, any of the agencies will arrange the usual stops for you, which include lots of shopping stops. That's why you need to take charge of your itinerary once you get there. It's easy to do - just ask.

I am staying at Inle Princess Resort. Kathie I think you asked that.
Dogster, I am hardly wide eye. but I do understand what you mean. I lived in Asia for five years, so no, not interested in the shopping and shlepping (luv that!). I love Buddha!, temples, temples, temples and more temples local people, the water, animals and any unique experiences. Markets but only local type, not the tourists.
But I only have two days in each place. I said I was short on time to research. I have read Kathie's and Craig's wonderful reports.
I just wanted to know what the key items to see were.
We leave in almost a week, and hopefully I can get Kathie's guide in Bagan. I know in Inle, we will go to the south one day, I can fill in from Kathie's and Craig's report from there. I actually think I would like Pindaya.
I will let S.M. know that I would not be happy with just going to shopping places. Artsy's description of the driver actually really bothered me.
I get the impression Santa Maria will do whatever I ask.
Thanks,

See if you can find out from SM if there are any other local markets which will be operating while you are there - they are all around and operate on a 5-day rotating schedule - plan around them, if you can. Do Nam Pan though. There is one on the lake that is bigger and more touristy than the others - I would skip that one. We stopped at the Aungban market on the way to Pindaya which was rather interesting. The town of Indein on the lake is certainly worth some time for it's ruined stupas and the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda on the lake is a good place to spend some time as well.
Yes, Santa Maria will do whatever you ask.
