Thai Massage in Chiang Mai - recommendation please

I do want to try a Thai Massage in Chiang Mai - will visit in 2 weeks.

I am used to deep tissue massage - here in Canada I go twice a month. Have done some research and came up with 4 choices:
- Old Medicine Hospital (78/8 Wualai Road)
- Suan Samoonphrai (8 Wangsinghkam Road)
- Ban Sabai SPA, Chiang Mai Town
- Ban Sabai SPA, Village

I'm just afraid the Hospital one would be too clinical - as I don't mind having a massage in a nice relaxing setting - spa type. Can anyone help? Thanks

My wife uses Ban Sabai regularly. She goes to the in-town establishment, but the village, which includes accommodation, should be of the same standard.

i would only comment that the thai massage is quite different from a western massage....my wife calls it "rough"... she prefers not to have it done on our trips...

My wife and I love Thai massage. We had very nice massages in the basement of the Royal Princess Hotel. I've had many massages in BKK, CM, Phuket, and Hua Hin. The massage at the Royal Princes compared favorably with the much more expensive ones at the Spas.
