Tailor in New Delhi

We will have 3 days in New Delhi at the end of our touring N. India and my wife is very interested in having some clothes made....I have not been able to find much at all concerning tailor shops in N. Delhi. If anyone has had some experience with anyone or who knows some shops we might look at I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations. Thanks,
Bob

There are many tailors in Delhi. We've used Vedi tailors in Connaught Place for a long time. However they make clothes or men and in 3 days your time is limited. Have you contacted the hotel conceirge? They may be able to help.

Jacketwatch...thanks for your recommendation. I am also hoping to get a sports coat made for me with some material I am bringing with me....we are staying out in the Nizamuddin E. area at the bnineteen B&B so will ask them for recommendations as well.

We also have used Vedi Tailor in Connaught Place. They do a good job of men and women's jackets, pants etc.
Your time is very short.
My suggestion is that as soon as you reach Delhi, the first thing you need to do even before you go sightseeing etc. is to find the tailor and give your measurements and request to get the order completed 24 hours before you leave.
Vedi has been very good in this respect. Maybe you can find some other tailor recommended by the B&B people.
Very often the tailors are not very prompt with their delivery. So you must insist to get your order done in a timely manner so you can be fitted and bring the items back with you.
Also good idea to take a sports coat or whatever you want stitched as a sample, so they will make it exactly as you want. The prices are very reasonable, so do try.

Thanks ileen....I will definitely do what you have suggested and will most likely take a sports coat with me so that I should have no problem getting what I want.
