I wish I could give you more info. I have been copying all the shopping info
I have found on this board as well as Thorn Tree and when I reviewed it I found it is all pretty much the same
places as we have been reading about.

It's crazy cause I'm sure I won't have nearly enough time to cover even half
the shops we've been recommended. But, I'm still keeping my eyes opened. And, if I learn of other must shops I'll post the informationl.

Namaste.
I have written extensively on Delhi shopping on some previous postings, although the subject is never~ending. I am sure all u guys understand but just want to clarify just in case that there is confusion there is only need to go to one of those FAb locations, whatever is most conveneint, as it is a Chain of stores that is branching out quickly. The bigger locations such as in my favorite of GK1 n block is bigger and also separates the merchendise into differnt little shops strewn around N block market, whereas the smaller stores have smaller selections and do not necc. carry such a large collection of the home furnishings, and such. Howevver, if u go to one and u can not find your right size in your right color, than proceed to another locale by all means...FAb India is actually all over India, Bombay, Jaipur,Bangalore, Pune, it is not neccessarily just a Delhi store.

A theme i keep refering to in terms of shopping in India is this! it is everywhere, and everyone who goes to India with an interest in shopping will certainly have their fill from morning to night, everybody is selling something or knows someone who does or this or that....***the second u get out of your car/and land at a monument5 sight, the street vendors will be there. The second u walk outside of your hotel, very often someone will be trying to take u to a shop, or the second u enter a local taxi the driver will try to steer u to a shop. Also, as u probably know the big hotels also each have a gallery of shops too. And of course, if u are traveling with a local guide, drivers, etc or will wind u to shops in between sightseeing excrusion for tea and toilet breaks, etc, part of the days work! Again, the whole country is one big Bazaar, for every craft imaginable, and what u seek, will surely find U!
