Romantic Thailand
My boyfriend and I are going to be meeting in Thailand this July and we are wondering where to stay. We want to see Phuket and want to be on the beach and are thinking about an all inclusive resort. Since we live in different countries we like our vacations together to be romantic and affordable. Any suggestions??
Thanks!

There's a Club Med on Kata Beach on Phuket. I've never gone inside, but it seems to be a popular place by the numbers of people I've seen on the beach there. Maybe someone here has stayed at that Club Med.
Enjoy your trip.

(I've stayed at a very romantic place just down the beach from Club Med. It isn't all inclusive. It's Mom Tri's Villa Royale. Very exclusive!!! Very quiet and peaceful, but not on a strip of beach)

I believe that June/July are monsoon months for Phuket. You may want to consider a different beach location in Thailand (Koh Samui, for instance). Thailand isn't full of all-inclusive resorts like the Caribbean is. There are lots of very romantic resorts in Thailand.

Club Med is the only 'inclusive resort' on Phuket that I know of.
Local drink/food prices are very cheap and you would want to get oput and about to try different restaurants and places
July is rainy season Phuket.
Your budget is the major thing we need so we can suggest within that range.
Tell us you budget/idea of affordable, accommodation ranges for air-conditioned from about USD20 to USD 500
I would take a look at some romantic places and those with pool villas or intimate style on www.phuket-luxury-hotels.com and also look at some Honeymoon suggestions ( ok, I know it's not honeymoon but let us say romantic style places ), they have a lot of offers for July with free night stays after a certain number of nights, also they have Koh Samui, Koh Lanta and other places. Not just luxury ones but 'bargain luxury' too.
Take a look at "Baan Yin Dee" and the "Chedi" , different types of places, Mom Tri's Boathouse,
If you think about Samui the Sala Samui or Buriyraya

Try also Holiday Inn (Patong)Busakorn Wing which has honeymoon suites with your own"pool". I don't think it is all inclusive but you could arrange inclusion of breakfast (about A$20.00)and there is a buffet type restaurant which you could use at night. You might be able to organise including this as well.Again, I think about A$22.00 They have different themes for each night eg., seafood night. It is opposite the beach at Patong but Kata beach I believe is more beautiful.
