There is so much to see and do in Sri Lanka, it seems a shame to only spend 5 or 6 days there. If you want relaxing, choose just one location or a maximum of two.
What is it you are looking for? There are wonderful places to stay in Sri Lanka. My favorite being Tea Trails.

hi again...forgot about Galle..Benthota offer you a far better beach than Galle..so Benthota for beach another place for tea plantation for chilling weather and then sigirya for cultural..
dont use more than 3 bases as your time is limit,,I went last December only stay 9 night with 8 bases..we enjoyed alot with those places but have some regret it was a bit rush trip as we had to travel place to place every single day. thx god we had a good driver first we thought to use public transport..but at the end we changed the minute which was the best idea..other wise we need at-least 15 nights to go to every place we went hahaa

Two of my favorites are Tea Trails and Ulagalla.
Staying on this working tea estate was so wonderful we stayed an extra night.
Ulagalla is remote and romantic. The villas are lovely and have a private plunge pool.
