I'll go to Siem Reap Cambodia in February. I'm considering Cambodia arrival visa and I'd like to hear your experience. Is it smooth to process arrival visa at airport? any trouble?

Getting your Cambodian visa on arrival at one of the international airports is fast and easy. Sometimes there is a line, but I haven't seen it be problematic. Much easier than getting it at a land border, where scams are rife.

On the flight you should be give 3 forms to complete. You'll need them in this order...

- Visa
- Immigration
- Customs [they might not ask for it]

Make sure you have the forms already completed before you get off the aircraft.

There aren't usually any problems getting a visa on arrival at the airport ( although some nationalities may be required to get a visa in advance before entering the country. In addition to the forms mentioned by LL you will also need $30 cash and a colour photo.
Make sure you have an un-damaged passport with six months validity after your planned departure date. Remember to hang on o your departure form as it can be a hassle without it.

As LL says, it pays to get your stuff in order before leaving the plane and sometimes there can be long queues at immigration.

We flew into Siem Reap last January, and our flight arrived close to midnight. It really was a pretty efficient process, and we were all set up to go in maybe 20 to 30 minutes. Make sure you have the exact amount of cash needed (can't remember how much it was in US dollars) because they had no change; someone else in line with us was extremely frustrated because she only had a very large bill.

Oh, and make sure you have two blank facing pages in your passport!

We arrived at the Siem Reap airport January 5, 2017. The Visa process was smooth. It took approximately 30 minutes. The previous suggestions are excellent. We had acquired clean U.S. cash from our bank in 1's, 5's, 10's, & 20's prior to departure. We are using our money belt and hotel safe. Some passengers were in an ATM line prior to the Visa line. Bring cash & avoid this.
