I am leaving for Bali in one week. I know that it is the WET season... Is it going to be real bad? Do I need a rain coat? What kind of clothes do I pack for Bali?

Bali is tropical. You certainly don't want a rain coat! You'll want casual, cool clothing in natural fibers. You will want clothing that is relatively modest - no short shorts or bared midriffs other than at the beach.

Rains in Bali are intense but short. It will rain wildly, and 10 minutes later, it will be gone and you can't tell it rained.

Do you have a guidebook yet? If not, get one now so you can read it on the plane.

I was there one December and just had an umbrella. It's too hot for a raincoat. Plus it's tropical rain that's warm. Happy Travels!
