OK, Sue, I just found your thread with the outline of your trip. Looks like I'm arriving just as you are leaving... oh well, maybe we'll meet up some other time. Consider coming to the GTG (get together) in Boston area, the weekend of October 9th. We always have a great time! I'm sure you would enjoy it.

Carol (and all)-
So sorry our paths don't cross in Bangkok. Would have been a gas to meet you. In the meantime, I sent out good vibes for your frequent flyer trip to come through. Bob and I are hoping we make it to the GTG in Boston--assuming we can tear ourselves away from Thailand. So far this has been moment to moment bliss! How will I ever live without a daily Thai massage?

Sue, so glad you are having such a great time! Let Bob know (that's rhkkmk) that you want to attend the BOS GTG. I'm sure you will enjoy visiting with a bunch of folks who love Thailand. You should join in on the GTG thread so you will be aware of all the details. Hope you will stay at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Burlington MA, if you are doing an overnighter, which I assume you will do.

My FF trip WILL come thru in a couple of weeks... I'll just book a 'standard' award if I can't manage the 'saver' award... no problem. I've got tons of FF miles tho having to spend twice the number of them will 'hurt' a bit, it won't be impossible to do.

Bob-Sorry, missed your question on the Best Western Bkk airport hotel. It took btn 10-15 minutes and cost about 130Bht on the meter. The pool was really nice: good size, infinity, ultra clean and atmospheric. The whole hotel is new and luxurious with a spacious feel. Large room and beautifully outfitted bath. I did a half hour massage at the spa and it was good: cold tea was served before and a delicious hot tea after in very soothing surroundings.

Carol-so glad your flight came through. Where will you stay when in Samui? And how on earth do you come by so many frequent flyer miles? Very nice.
On your trip do you plan to do a lot of shopping? Where do you go in Bkk for quality goods at good prices?
