We are thinking of staying in the Saigon Morin. Any feedback?

Haven’t stayed there but I do find that place a little dark and depressing. We last stayed in a cheap place close to the centre which was decent enough but not sure I would go out of my way to suggest it. I can search for the name if required.

If you are consider the Morin, have a look at La Residence Hue, it used to be the French embassy and is a very stylish Art Deco building on the river. The rooms overlooking the river are superb.

It used to be an Accor Hotel ( same as metropole Hanoi) but that has changed I think recently

We stayed at La Residence in July and it was wonderful - the room was fantastic, as was the service.

crellston is correct that they are no longer an Accor Hotel - they are independent.

I would highly recommend it.

We didn't stay at La Residence but wish we had. We had drinks and dinner there and got a tour of the rooms. It's a lovely property and I would recommend it.
