Looking for good hotel in Hue, Vietnam

I will be in Hue, Vietnam from September 15th to the 20th, traveling by myself. I am looking for a good 4/5 star hotel in Hue. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

There are quite a few good choices mentioned on Tripadvisor. I've enjoyed the Villa Hue: it's the training place for a local hotel school so they want you to actively exercise the students: ask questions, do your laundry, order cocktails, take dinner there, etc. The students are charming but obviously inexperienced. Their teachers help out when necessary, and are *very* good. It's conveniently located and very comfortable, on a par with a high-end western hotel: http://www.villahue.com/

Another recommendation for La Residence. It is maybe a 10 min walk from the town but worth it as it is arguably the best place to stay in Hue. Great Art Deco architecture and style and good food if a little expensive. The Saigon Morin is the other 5* place in town but was looking a bit tired the last time I was there.

I don't know your purpose to be in Hue but if for leisure there is not all that much there. You may wish to consider Hoi An, about half an hour south -- walkable and cute as a button with lots of options. I was in both a month ago and for me at least, no real need to have been in Hue.

Another vote for La Residence in Hue. I stayed 2nts here and then 3nts in Hoi An at the Life Resort which was also lovely and walkable to town.

We stayed at the Pilgrimage Village and loved it, we booked last minute through agoda and stayed in one of the honeymoon suites, one of our favorite places we stayed on our trip.
