phuket holiday inn

thinking of bidding $50/nt. on priceline for a room for 2 persons. it is listed as a 4 star. any thoughts?

have you read biddingfortravel.com to fully understand priceline and is this hotel one normally awarded on priceline? i don't think so but maybe??

As far as I recall, the Holiday Inn is not on or even really close to the beach. It is in the town. I don't think it is worth even the $50.

Holiday Inn Phuket is directly across from the beach in Patong on the beach road.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn a few years ago and JamesA is correct - it is right across the street from Patong Beach, a very busy area if that appeals to you. I thought it was a very nice hotel for a Holiday Inn and would be a good deal at $50.
