Holiday Inn Phuket

I tried to book the Holiday Inn in Phuket for 7/6 to 7/9 directly through the hotel website and they responded that it was fully booked. Is that possible? Maybe the rooms are blocked? If so, can someone suggest an agency to contact. I've tried expedia, hotels.com and travelocity.

Almost done booking our air and hotel plans for our 3 week trip to Asia -- thanks to everyone here.

It's possible they are fully booked due to a convention or group tour. You might try the regional sites, like Sawasdee or AsiaTIV. But I'd definitely start thinking about an alternative hotel.

The Busakorn Wing of the H/Inn is being refurbished betwen May and around 7th July, that could have something to do with lack of rooms overall at the H/Inn in that period.

It's also Australian School holidays and with Jestar cheap packages and H/Inn being about the most popular in Patong for Australians that also adds to potential lack of room availability.
I think though Busakorn Wing closure means just overall reduction in rooms available.
