Overnight at Chengdu airport-help!

I am routed through Chengdu on my way to Nepal. I arrive at 11:30 p.m. and leave at 7:30 the next morning. From my research on other boards I gather that airport security will kick you out if you try to sleep on the airport floor. But, I'm not having any luck finding a reasonably priced hotel near the airport either.

Anyone have a recommendation or experience with an overnight connection in Chengdu?
Thanks

The airport is under 10 miles from City Center with an expressway connecting the two, so 15-20 minutes tops. Plenty of reasonably priced hotels there.

I remembered this post when I just read my friend's Facebook status(!). On September 27th she wrote "The marble floor of Chengdu airport does not make for a good night sleep." So it's anecdotal evidence at best, but it seems one *can* stay overnight in the airport if necessary...

On my visit to Chengdu three years ago, we arrived from Beijing at about midnight and had no problem getting a taxi into the city center which was very close as rkkwan says. We stayed at a hostel that was centrally located - I wish I could remember the name of it!
