We will have a one night layover in Hong Kong, arriving in the afternoon from Laos and leaving in the morning for NYC. We would like a hotel near the airport train, not too horribly expensive as we will have almost no time to enjoy it. We hope to at least get out to dinner in the city.

If you want to move your previous post higher up to get more answers, you can always just thank the people who did the earlier answers, or provide more specific details to it, as rkkwan has suggested.

I'd opt for a hotel in town. Salisbuty YMCA is nice and very reasonable. Taxis to the airport or the AE are easy and cheap.
