Nearest budget hotel to shinjuku hilton

Hi,

This is a continuation from my first post. I am looking for a budget hotel ranging from $100-150 which is by walking distance to Hilton Shinjuku. There is a conference in shinjuku but the rate is to high for me.

I have searched and found hotel like shinjuku new city hotel and washington shinjuku. Which one is nearest by walking distance to Hilton. And also if any of you could advice me on which hotel to stay if the distance is similar.

Thanks.

The Washington is an easy 10 minute walk straight down a long street passing the Hyatt Regency and the Hilton across the street.

The New City Hotel is on the other side of Shinjuku Park....it's a little farther away I would say and you would have to make just a couple of turns to get to the Hilton while the walk from the Washington is a straight shot down one street.

How do the rooms compare....I know the Washington's are small?

Aloha!

All about the same distance...the two you mention plus the Rose Garden Hotel and the Kadoya Hotel.

This is my first trip to tokyo and attending a conference in hilton.

If i stay in shinjuku new city hotel, do i hv to pass by the shinjuku park when coming back from hilton. Is it safe to pass the park at night?

thanks guys..appreciate your help.

Looks like you have to pass the park to me. Overall, Tokyo is safe...but of course, exercise caution and use common sense as you would anywhere in the world. A taxi would not be prohibitively expensive between the Hilton and the 4 hotels listed...under ¥1000 by my estimate.

There are homeless in the park at night in makeshift boxes and tents. There is a lighted walkway though....

You can walk on the street around the park if you are coming from the New City

Aloha!
