Thanks - not my idea - stole it from these forums which I have been trawling nonstop these days. Never knew there were so many Thailand experts here. It's random but awesome (and a ltitle overwhelming).

and many of the experts go regularily to the boston GTG...

ratings are all over the map as said above... don't risk it...

look at marriott resort and spa for under $200...

do you have any starwood pts? they offer fantastic deals on cash and points in thailand: www.spg.com

the plaza anthanee is very nice, centrally located and still has a 4800 B rate i think

Thanks for the rec! Only points I have are from the Intercontinental whixch doesn't seem to be on the river. Must get my butt offline now - we leave in the AM and I have not packed a thing. Keep the recs coming though.

Intercontinental is really quite nice. They've just undergone a huge renovation of their big lobby area... not sure about rooms being renovated/remodeled. DH and I stayed there in 2002 when it was Le Meridien. Location is fantastic. Skytrain and shopping are all right there.

I stayed at Phloenchit Holiday Inn about 2 years ago, just before we discovered Adelphi Suites. I liked that HI. My room was spacious and light/airy. Breakfast buffet (extra cost) had a huge selection.
