Langkawi & sthn Thailand booked solid

Just tried to book at a number of hotels on Langkawi for December. Appears there's a conference on there. LIMA05, something to do with aeronautics, and many places are booked solid. Finally found somewhere for 3 nights and then tried to book lovely boutique property on Koh Ngai, Thapwarin resort and it's booked solid too!

Last year had no problem in booking Krabi, Samui & Phuket for early December. Anyone thinking of going ought to get in and book now!

Langkawi is booked solid from the 4/12/05 to 11/12/05. You can find accomadation but the pickings are slim and cost 100 MYR a night and above! No budget hostels or B&B's avaialable at all.

For heaven's sake bob. Most outhouses have been converted to inhouses and the previous outhouses are now used for lawn mower storage or as guestrooms for visitors from Boston.

I was going to suggest langkawi Holiday Village, anyway where is the Sunset place? Mayflower are decent and reasonable for car rental, if you are itching for Thai food head to the Thai restaurant at the Pelangi.
