Kuala Lumpur City Center Hotel?
I'm searching for my parents who are arriving in KL for a night before flying out the next day at noon. They wanted an inexpensive (under 100 bucks) room with a safe/good location. I'm assuming they will take the train in from the airport. Is there anything walking distance? As they are elderly, being safe is a priority but they'd like to do some exploring for a full day. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks all!

That's a rather tough order. I don't think there's anything within walking distance of Sentral that's in that price range, and the area around Sentral is not really the best area to stay for sightseeing. It might be better for them to stay in the Bukit Bintang or KLCC area and plan on taking a taxi to and from Sentral (or from the airport, for two people it's cheaper).
In Bukit Bintang, I think the Federal and Capitol are both still in that price range. The Melia, near KLCC was also under $100 when I stayed there, but I think it's gone up.

I agree with Michael on the KLCC or Bukit Bintang area, they should really look for options around those.
The Federal is quite a decent option and goes in the 80-90$ range usually. Another good option is the Concorde Hotel near KLCC which costs in the 85-100$ range.

Thanks you guys, I appreciate the input. So, the Concorde looks nice and is by the monorail and a ten minute walk to the towers. Does this seem like a good location? Sorry, I just don't know the area at all. Is it better to be in Bukit Bintang area? Thanks!

The Concorde, as I recall, isn't that far from Bukit Bintang either, so I wouldn't worry about that. BB is a place for shopping mainly. There used to be a lot of nice restaurants in the streets behind the Concorde, but I haven't been in that area for a couple of years so I don't know if they're still there.
