Krabi

I really like this place. Rented a long-tail boat for 1500 baht and spent 7 hours doing what they called the Four Island circuit. Snorkling, swimming, laying on the beach. Just be careful about taking advice from the boatman regarding jellyfish. Got a nice picture of me holding up a huge one, but paid the price with some serious stings. Was worried about lunch only to find loads of boats hawking all kinds of drinks and goodies to eat.
Rock formations were incredible. Going to Hong Island today.

Krabi is really incredible. I rented a speed boat instead of the longtail, as I prefer softer seating and easy getting in and out of the sun! Glad you enjoyed your four island trip. Awesome!

Will you be back in BKK soon? Soi 8?

Yeah, the speedboat was a good idea, but my meager finances prevented me from such luxury. Note to self: bring IPOD to mask loud roar from engine! I actually got pretty good at getting in and out of the boat.

Only back for one night. Special dinner at Le Dalat on Soi 23.

Hong Island tour was great as well. A litle crowded so I'd recommend you go early and get there around 0830. Same with the lagoon on the other side. Caution: Your boat driver may want to charge you extra to go see some smaller, nearby islands. Don't do it. They are close and he should include them as part of your 7 hour day. Snorking wasn't all that great but sights are wonderful.

Sunsets are amazing here.

I read an article in one of the Bangkok papers just a few days ago. I think its a new place very close to the old one. Jusr re-opened is my guess.

Funny incident. One in our party ordered a white russian. Waiter brought a black russian. We said Where's the cream?Waiter brought the drink back a minute or so later with a few precious drops of cream. Sent it back. Came back with two or three drops more. Finally we gave up!!
