Koh Samui or Krabi in July
I am planning a honeymoon in early july to thialand. Will spend about 5 days in Chiang Mai and then about 5-6 days in the south.
I am trying to decide between the Rayavadee in Krabi and the Tongsai Bay in Samui. They are about the same price

I know the weather is better in Samui, but I wanted to know if anyone had been to Krabi in July, how rainy it is, and what they thought.
Thanks

Koh Samui would be a better choice of think. July is pretty much the middle of the rainy season in Phuket. Historically, average rainfall in July is 11.6 inches. The highest monthly rainfall occurs in September, with 13 inches on average. Other rain-prone months are May through November.

For Koh Samui, average rainfall in July is 4.1 inches. This is actually pretty high, as low months (January through April) average less than 1 inch. The wet season is October, November and December.

For historical weather information, go to worldclimate.com. For Krabi, type in "Phuket", the closet area for which there is information. For Koh Samui, type in "Hua Hin".

For Koh Samui also consider staying at the Le Meridien Baan Taling Ngam. The best hotel on the island in my opinion. Their website is at http://www.meridien-samui.com.
