Phuket or Krabi or Koh Samui in June/July
Hi all:
I’m thinking of going to either one of the places above in late June or July. Pls suggest which place is better in terms of weather. I note that it’s said to be rainy months in June and July for all the 3 places, but anyone knows if any 1 place has got comparatively less rain , less humid, few hours of clear sky and sunshine. What about temperatures then?
Thanks in advance.

Phuket/Krabi weather is totaly different in June/July to that of samui and other Gulf areas.
I never read these guide books or whatever but if that's what they say then sorry but it's utterly 'wrong'.
Monsoon season is rain in Phuket/Krabi area and this week it seems that the temperatures are surging and that's a sign the monsoons are soon to break in the Indian sub-continent and that is when the heavy rains start.
Koh Samui etc are not really affected by this and if you want good weather then Gulf region is where to head to.

Sorr daisyho didn't see about temperatures, it would be between 28 and 35 most days in all places.
If you can be flexible ( in June and early June you can because that is just before busy season starts on samui ) you can always book for a few nights on Samui, then monitor the weather, and if Krabi area looks like some clear days then you can be in Krabi area within 4-5 hours from Samui ( or 50 mins if you fly to Phuket from Samui ). Phuket/Krabi accommodation at that time would be no problem as it's low seson because of the weather, but if you can spot some clear days then head down.

Thanks for your always useful info. We visited Krabi in Jan06, and we loved it!!! And we stayed at the Central Krabi and it was gorgeous. So, that’s why we’ve been thinking of returning there whenever we have our holidays again. So, if we’re returning to Thailand this June/July, we would have to give it a miss. But definitely, we will return there.
BTW, how long and how much is the boat trip from Samui to Koh Tao? Any great resort there? My husband loves Snorkelling, so do we have to take a boat trip around Koh Tao to do snorkelling, or is the water around the beaches there clear enough and easily accessible for such?
Thanks
