JW Marriott Bangkok

Could I just check with anyone in the know if the JW Marriott Sukhumvit is within walking distance (say 5 mins; 10 is a bit too long) to a Skytrain station? I've been told that it is close to both the Nana and the Ploenchit stations but am not sure if it is walkable in the heat.

Thanks!

The JW is not that far from the BTS station and you can definately walk to a station within 5 minutes.

Two mins to Nana, not really that near Ploenchit but you only need the one!

Hi JannaG,

I stayed at the JW Marriott earlier this year and you won't be dissapointed!!! It's a great hotel, and being a Marriot Platinum member I had an executive room with lounge access. The lounge is HUGE with an outside terrace where you can see the entire city - quite breathtaking, so if you can get upgraded go for it.

The skystation is right across the street over a bridge, and there is a McDonalds and Pizza Hut beside the hotel as well. About one block away is the infamous Nana Plaza, but at night I felt relatively safe in the general area of the hotel.

The lounge is great - be sure to try the local tea. Tried the spa, and was good although not as good as what I experienced at the Conrad. The pool is nice though, as is the healthclub.

Good Luck!
