Japan in two weeks and haven't booked hotel. Found a great rate at the Park Hyatt Kyoto but how's the location?

Ichinoyu Honkan (see your other thread). Not a luxury ryokan, but a very nice friendly place w/history, and most of the rooms are on a beautiful raging river below.
We chose that one because we could get a private bath just outside the rm and my daughter was shy about going naked w/strangers and wanted the private bath.
There are so many cool places to stay in Hakone. Many are much nicer than Ichinoyu,w/better futons for sleeping, etc. But Ichinoyu is reasonable. I bet they are already booked for your date though. Is it a weekend night- because if so, Hakone gets really booked on weekends.
