I have a similar travel profile to dogster above. I missed taking pills for a few days in Vietnam and contracted malaria! - a week in hospital recovering and the treatment was not a pleasant experience as I was allergic to the drugs. Not something I would want to repeat.
Far better to take advice from a properly qualified medical practitioner (with experience of tropical medicine) than to rely on advice from a travel agent/tour operator on medical issues. My doctor is great but I doubt I would seek her advice on where to go on my travels.
Whatever you decide make sure you protect against mozzie bites as Dengue fever is a problem in Cambodia (and possibly parts of Thailand with the flooding?) I use spray with 50% deet which is about the max for use on the skin.

We consulted an international travel medicine specialist. He agreed with our internist: Hep A, Hep B, and typhoid shots, along with malarone pills taken 2 days before arriving and continuing until 7 days after leaving the malaria area. (That means 6.5 weeks of pills in our case.) And Ultrathon repellant (35% DEET) on exposed skin if we are out in the evenings and all the time in southern Vietnam (and Cambodia), where dengue fever is prevalent (Vietnam News reported yesterday that there have been more than 7,000 cases of dengue in HCMC this year--much more than last year.)
I agree with Crellston--check with a travel med specialist for her/his recommendation.
