Hotels in Chiang Rai

We're looking for suggestions for a place to stay in Chiang Rai for a couple nights this Winter. Would like to pay no more than $125 a night. Any suggestions? thanks!

Try this reservation site and most of the hotels will be under $125.

http://www.sawasdee.com/hotels/chiangrai.html

The hotels listed in the "Muang" location will be in Chiang Rai town itself while the other will be on the outskirt. If you want a hotel with a view then try Phu Chaisai or if you want downtown 4 star hotel type then the Dusit.

Le Meridien Chiang Rai is a great property that is highly recommended and fits your budget: http://deals.lemeridien.com/Le-Merid...60&iATANumber=

Reviews with photos of this resort are here: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/...thailand.9475/

Enjoy your travels!

We got a great deal at the Legend Hotel which turned out to be very nice.

Don't know if the Meridien is within the budget but it really is a beautiful, relaxing property and worth it. We were there in November. It's more upscale than the other places mentioned, & it's also out-of-town a bit, on the river. They have a free shuttle to town several times a day. Book Jermsak for a guide if you haven't already. He is wonderful.

If Jermsak is unavailable, ask him to give you Tony's number. Tony was originally Jermsak's driver and went out on his own as a guide. We used him when Jermsak was unavailable and thought he was terrific.

Thanks! Yes, Meriden is $189 for the time we will be there. We're looking at Laluna Hotel & Resort. Its address is 160 Moo 14 Sanambin Road Muang Chiang Rai 57000. Anyone know it?

How do I get in touch with Jermsak? Haven't started working on guides yet, but would like to begin.
