Hong kong dept store
which big department store has the best sales for mens cloths.
I need to by university gear. white dress shirt and black sports pants. I im looking for brands similar to ARROW.in price and quality. I can easily find good quality 100% cotton shirts in BKK for about $13 (when they are 50% off). So about how much would a shirt cost in HK
I will be staying in causway bay. so I guess there are plenty of dept stores around.
thanks

I know Cicerone or rkkwan will chime in but there is a large mall at Times Square in Causeway Bay that has a lot of shops that sell the shirts that you are looking for. The mall is right above the Causeway Bay Subway stop. Around the neighborhood outside of the mall is very interesting shopping too. Lots of street markets (Jardine St) similar too street markets in bkk. Very interesting neighborhood. Have fun!
Aloha!

The department store in Times Square is Lane Crawford; SOGO and Mitsukoshi are also in the neighborhood.
While I wouldn't recommend the street markets for decent quality clothes, many of the smaller shops (even chains such as Giordano) can offer decent quality at better prices than the department stores.

My son bought beautifull cotton dress shirts at the Ladies Market in HK. He paid $7 US each. Some have white cuffs and collar. We thought that they might fall apart when laundered but they are holding up as well as the $45 shirts he bought in the US. Bargaining is essential. At the stall next door he bought matching ties for $2US which have also held up well. He has received compliments at his law ofice in NY.
