Good Travel Agent In Hanoi
I am travelling to Hanoi from Bangkok.
We will be there for 2.5 days.
I intend on taking several internal flights in Vietnam.
The first day we have resigned to the fact that it will be used up for travel arrangements.
Is it cheaper to buy flights from vietnamese travel agents on the websites or wait until we get to Hanoi.
If we get to Hanoi can anyone recommend a good travel agents to book our internal flights via.

We did not book internal flights thru an agent but did use Exotissimo for some surface arrangements. Eg we booked a car with driver thru them for US$30/day which was fab as we did some sightseeing then did some shopping and kept dumping our purchases in the boot of the car so could wander freely. Think they book flights too.

If you book via the website, you may have to pay money in advance. The price will plus fee. Last time, I booked my internal flights at Binhminh vietnam. I am not sure their email. Maybe: [email protected]( or com.vn). They are very friendly and professional. They have relations with many ticket agents in Vietnam so they offered me a lot of choices with reasonable price. I am very satisfied with their services.

I am working with Mr. Tuan at vietnamstay.com for a trip next week to Saigon, Mekong Delta and Hoi An. I first heard about him from a Fodorite and coincidentally found that two friends here in Singapore have used his service in the ppast month and were very happy with it.
Mr. Tuan's price on internal flights is much cheaper than buying the tickets outside the country. His prices on all 3 of the hotels I picked are cheaper than any of the 6 websites I checked, including the hotel's own. He has been immediately responsive to all my email inquiries, including making some restaurant reservations for us in Saigon. I have paid no money yet.....he will come to my hotel in Saigon to collect by credit card when we arrive. His company operates in Hanoi also.

Lindsey, Please post a report on your trip when you get back. We're just beginning our planning for a trip to Vietnam & there seem so many options for Mekong Delta trips it's hard to decide -- or to know the differences between them. We will only have two weeks, so we're struggling with how we should focus our time. We like historical/cultural sites as well as time to interact with people and get into smaller towns and villages. But we also like good food & shopping for local crafts. And we're also thinking about spending a day or two at the Ana Mandara for r&r & some spa treatments. So much to do, so little time!

Will do. The Mekong trip we are doing is a 2 day, one night, with the overnight at the Victoria Hotel in Can Tho. (We stayed at the Victoria in Sapa and liked it.) Here is the link to the description on vietnamstay.com's website.....http://vietnamstay.com/tour/mekongdelta.htm#MK2-01.
Will let you know how it goes.
