Furniture in Bangkok
Hello,
In a few weeks I am meeting my boyfriend in Bangkok and we want to look into having some furniture made; dining room table, chairs, etc. Does anyone have recommendations of quality places to go?

Have you searched this board for info on buying furniture in Thailand? There have been a couple of long threads about this recently. Be aware that shipping will (at least) double the cost, and if you live somewhere that requires central heating, you are very likely to experience significant cracking in the furniture.

Also certain wolods, teak in particular will crack in colder climates in a matter of a year or possibly even months. If it is lacquered it does not look as beautiful but wood deterioration will be reduced.
The above is correct. We shipped non-firniture goods but stopped when shipping plus goods were not that much less expensive than in US, maybe except for NYC, LA or similar. If breakage occurs but it is insured I would think it difficukt to resolve claim unless you use DHL,etc.
