December in Beijing??

It depends where you are from. Cold in December's Beijing means the ponds and lakes freeze over. It is not as windy as early spring with the Gobi sandstorms but it is icy wind, the air is dry when it doesn't rain/snow, tho there are some crisp sunny days too.
Check www.weather.com, even if it says U.S., type in Bejing, China, and click averages and records. It might not be the best time to visit, keep in mind that's why prices are lower.

I was in Beijing in December/Jan of last year. It was typically cold and dry in the December. It's right around freezing everyday with sun and haze. Not too uncomfortable, especially because we would spend the bulk of the day outside. Make sure to bring layers though, the wind can have quite a bite.
