Courtyard Marriott Bangkok
Has anyone stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Bankok. I will be there for 3 days by myself while I wait for my friends to arrive. Can I get to the sky train? Is it quiet? Is it clean?

It is quite central near public transportation. You should check out deals here versus the J.W. Marriott hotel, which is far superior.
If you are sure that you want to stay that the Courtyard, you can send them an e-mail directly with instructions about being in a quiter side of the building.

How close is the Holiday Inn Bangkok (Ploenchit) to this hotel?
I am investigating lower-priced hotel options, and they are about the same price. If they are similarly convenient to public transportation, I'll probably go with the Courtyard since it's so new.
Thanks in advance!

If the Courtyard is located in the place I'm picturing, it should be fairly convenient. But I GUARANTEE you that the H I Ploenchit is right down the steps of the skytrain! I stayed there Feb 07 and was very pleased with the place. The rooms are nice (not new, but the H I re-do isn't old by any means). Very nice place. And excellent breakfast buffet as well.
