Just wondering if China has something similar to the Dollar Stores. I know Japan has something similar. I visited one of the stores in Japan and was able to find some beautiful origami paper for a low price.

Such stores are good for some neat stuff, although most of it is low quality or useless.
Would love to find a name of a Chinese store in case I happen to see one while walking around.

Not sure where you are going in “China” (which is of course huge), but Hong Kong and Guangdong Province have Jusco stores, which are Japanese, and may be like the Yen stores you are referring to. Tons of household stuff and cosmetics, notions, most of it for HK$10 or less. See http://www.jusco.com.hk/chi/index.htm for a list of locations in HK and Guangdong Province. They used to have a shop in Shanghai, but that has closed to the best of my knowledge, at least the website does not list a shop there or other parts of the PRC.

I lived in Guangzhou for a few days ,but I can not see any Dollar Stores .But as Cicerone said ,there are Jusco stores in Guangzhou ,and I think the price for those goods are reasonable .And there are still many other big shops in Guangzhou .

Yes, there are "10 quai" stores, at least in areas of Shanghai and Beijing; great places to pick up slippers, watches, souvenir stuff for the equivalent of $1.50 (look for hordes of teen girls, and it might be a 10 yuan store). However, they are not like $1 stores where you can buy household cleaners, cosmetics, etc.

There's endless rock-bottom-priced shopping in China, but I think this query categorises things in the wrong way. After all, just about anything you'd buy in a 'dollar store' started life in China, and so, away from tourist shopping, can be bought more cheaply there.

For the same sense of having a bizarre clutter of widely contrasting items under one roof you need one of modern markets where myriad tiny stores on multiple floors between them sell everything from fabrics, to electronics, toys, stationary, cosmetics, jigsaw puzzles, kitchenware, tools, camera parts, and so on.

These are numerous, but just not categorised as '10 kuai' stores or similar (which are often selling thing to tourists for ¥10 they could buy more cheaply elsewhere). You can easily lose half a day wandering around these places being constantly surprised by what you stumble upon. In Beijing you might like to look at:

Xīn Shìjiè Shāngpǐn Jiāo Shìchǎng (新世界商品交市场), still more commonly known as Vantone (万同世界), exit D from Fucheng Men metro.

For a truly vast multi-storey, multi-building version, that's just a little more flashy, try:

Bairong Shimao Shangcheng (百荣世贸商城) on the south third ring road at Muxiyuan.

Be aware, by the way, that much of what is sold in these places is either fake, knock-off, over-run, or fell-off-the-back-of-a-lorry. Just about anything in China that can be faked more cheaply than manufactured for real, is faked. Part of the pleasure of these places is discovering Head and Shoulders shampoo where the writing comes off the bottle onto your hand, 'Oleo' cookies, and so on.
