Cheap Tix to Tokyo?

Hi,

I'd like to travel to Tokyo at the end of May. Does anyone know how I can get a cheap tix from San Diego to Tokyo (like under $600)?

Which airlines should I try? I've tried Orbitz and Expedia, but the price is still pretty high. Any advice?

Is there a travel package that includes hotel and air and the price is still reasonable?

Thanks.
JC

You didn't say what dates you need, but expedia is showing $600 fares on United. It's actually $605, but you could save the $5 if you book on www.united.com

Thanks for checking. I'm thinking of 5/21 to 5/31 or 6/1. San Diego <-> Tokyo.

Thanks!

You may have better chances of finding the kind of fare you want if you did not put in specific dates when doing your search.

I just inputted San Diego - Narita in Travelocity, but left the dates flexible ("from today to ....&quot. The lowest fare was about $480 plus about $70-$100 in taxes, fees, etc.

You should be able to find something within that range. Otherwise, try LAX to Narita.

Good luck!

Try departing on the 20th since you will probably find the best fares for travel Monday through Thursday. May 20 - June 1 is $585 now for SAN <-> NRT.

JC98,

Your departure date pushes the fare way up. To get the lower fare you will need to fly Mon-Wed both ways.

I got the ticket on priceline for $607 (including taxes and fees). Travel 5/21 to 5/31 on American. Economy class. It's the best price I could find.
