Central World Plaza..etc...

Greetings to all those of you in Thailand (or just got back)! I have a question about Central World Plaza, Central Chitlom and Emporium...are they all completed with their remodeling? And, if so, how do they now look? I'm looking forward to seeing Siam Paragon, but was wondering how the remodeling of the others have fared? Also, is the walkway now completed to Central World Plaza?

When I was in Bangkok last summer it seemed the entire CBD was under construction! I'm hopibng most of that will be completed before I return in May of this year.

Thanks again for all of your trip reports and advice...they are fun to read!

hi
the revamp has been completed at Emporium and Central Chitlom - although personally, I'm not sure why they bothered!! There are some flashy new 3d screens around.
Not sure about Central World Plaza. There's a beer garden outside at the moment which is a lot of fun but I didn't go inside.

Siam Paragon is quite nice - the dept store is connected to Emporium I think. I heard the food hall downstairs is good. But a lot of shops outside the dept store haven't opened yet.

Central World Plaza is not yet finished, but it may be by the time you get here. In Thailand, you never know?

We're not big mall people, but did go to MBK last trip for the experience. Would like to visit another mall this trip mostly to find some shops all in one place with nice Thai handicrafts. Which one would you recommend, and any specific recommendations for handcraft shops?

Thanks for the information everyone! One place I forgot to mention is Siam Center? Is it finished? Last year it was under a lot of construction and my favorite UCC restaurant/coffee shop was closed. I hope it is reopened as well....
