Public taxi would be around 400 Baht, including surcharge (50 Baht) and tolls (70 to 90 Baht, can't remember exactly).
The airport limos are usually double the taxi fare, so I would say 700 Baht or so.

booked the limo service from BKK to Shangri-La .
you cannot complete the booking on their site, as it only has the old rates in the booking process.
they do have on their home page, a link at the buttom for the new rates.
any way, first, registered as a VIP client in their site. then emailed them.
got a confirmation.
price 950% - 10% discount (to VIP clients) = 855 + 65 tolls
so total of 920.

kathie...our final deal with the marriott (14 nites) includes two way transfers so they will pick us up initially and return us at the end...
i have prebooked (with AAC) for our return from india however....they are charging me 1350B + 65B for airport to marriott, 15 minute stop and then a transfer to the bangkok hyatt (to catch their 10AM shuttle van to hua hin hyatt--500B each btw).. i just find it easier to pre book...
