Bangkok Hotel Question
I'm planning a trip to Bangkok for July and I saw a hotel listing for Pinnacle Lumpinee Hotel and Spa. Has anyone stayed there? I'm looking for close proximity to Skytrain or subway, well lit area at night, and most importantly a quiet room with good AC. I'd love a review if anyone's been there. Thanks.

I havent heard about your hotel before, but a hotel that matches your criteria is Asia Hotel. It's right next to Ratchathewi skytrain (it's actually joined via a bridge to the station) and the rooms are nice and very reasonably priced. Good air cond. and the rooms are quiet.
However if you are looking for a spa/boutiquey hotel it is certainly not that. It is large - I think over 1000 rooms? or some ridiculously large number like that.
Have you searched for your hotel on tripadvisor or travelfish? They are very good for hotel reviews.

the location is ok but not great...its on rama IV which is a very main drag near the junction with sathorn which is one of bkk's major intersections....
if you aquate well lit with safety, then this area would be ok as there is tons of passing traffic...
the rooms look pretty sparce to me...
take a look at the majestic grande hotel

Pinnacle is an older smaller hotel across from the Lumpinee boxing stadium. It's a bit of a hike to the subway station, I think, but not too far. It's probably a lot cheaper than the alternatives that have been suggested, so it probably meets most of your criteria.
