Any smaller hotel recommendations for the Siam/Silom area?

Hi everyone. Were are now booking our trip to Thailand for October and want to try some different smaller/moderate or boutique type hotels in the Siam/Silom areas. We did the Swiss Lodge last time and it was nice location for street food and shopping, but want to change things up this time. We also will be going to Mae Hong son and Phuket as well. I'm bringing my geezer father with us this time, so any other sightseeing suggestions for him would be great. Thanks a lot!

You might have a look at the following

Silom Area
Siam Heritage
FuramaXclusive Sathorn

Siam Area
Siam Design Hotel. Has been getting good reviews.

Asia rooms have these if you want to check price.
