Bangkok Hotel Question

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel with a pool in about the $50 range or less that would be very close to the shopping malls and markets? I'd like them to be walking distance if possible. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I looked at the Pratunum (sp?) Princess Hotel but it is out of my price range.

check out www.asiahotels.com

under Bangkok check out hotels sorted by price. from there you can do some reaserch.

the ambassador seems like a good choice it has a pool, gym, squash courst and jogging track for $35.. just from quickly reading asiahotels customer comments it seems that the hotel is a bit worn down but good value for the facilities.

if you find some places post back and we can maybe help ya choose the best option for you.

Thanks for the info. Has anyone ever heard of the Imperial Impala Hotel? It looks like it's in a good location and the price is right.

Impala is ok, should be about $40-45. There is a huge choice in roughly that price range.

Possibly the Novatel at Siam Square if you can get a deal. Happy Travels!
