they must have some small garden...i was just assuming that they do...send an e mail and ask...
to be honest, no hotel is convenient to bkk sites....so it really does not matter too much where you stay as you will have to travel some....it is so hot that you rarely walk very far and certainly not from site to site in most cases...
i assume you mean the sheraton and there are two of them....most people refer to the sheraton orchid which is on the river....it is a decent location with a mall right next door and good water transportation and also taxis...i prefer other hotels but many fodorites like it...

The Sukhothai has a beautiful garden area, with the nicer rooms having garden views. Garden Suites http://www.sukhothai.com/garden.htm might be the type of thing you are looking for. I'm sure you can do better than published rates as well by exploring all options....booking sites, direct internet, direct e-mail.

Nai Lert Park - as referred to. $107 on asiarooms.com includes breakfast and tax (for renovated room) and represents outstanding value. Sukothai is very nice but price difference (around$80 or more per night) in my view is certainly not worth it, even if in your budget. Heard very good things on Marriott as well but not so covenient for shopping if you want that. Nai Lert is reasonably convenient for Jim Thompson's house.
