Bangkok Air Discovery Pass
Thanks to some extra time off work we are looking to add Siem Reap to our October Thailand trip! I am trying to understand the Discovery Pass through Bangkok Air...but I'm not sure I'm adding it all up right! Can someone more knowledgable see if I have this right?
Our itenerary has us going from Bangkok - Chiang Mai - Siem Reap - Krabi - Bangkok
From what I understand this is how the Pass would work:
BBK - CM: $60
CM - SR: $100
SR - Phuket: $100
Phuket - BBK: $60
Total = $320/person + taxes
Is this correct or am I way off base?

not really....first you must book at least three legs....you will be doing that
depending on your flights many have to hub through bangkok....
so you would have to fly siem reap to bkk (one leg) and then bkk to phuket (one leg)
some have reported that they have done this whole trip as one leg but most have said it is two legs...
domestic flights are $60 each way and international are $100....at least i think this is the new pricing...

Yup, Bangkok Air does not fly from Chiang Mai to Siem Reap direct nor from Siem Reap to Phuket direct. You'll have to connect through Bangkok and you'll be charged for those connections.
So it would be more like this:
BKK - CM: $60
CM - BKK: $60
BKK - SR: $100
SR - BKK: $100
BKK - Phuket: $60
Phuket - BKK: $60
Total = $440/person + taxes
So it would be more like this:
BKK - CM: $60
CM - BKK: $60
BKK - SR: $100
SR - BKK: $100
BKK - Phuket: $60
Phuket - BKK: $60
Total = $440/person + taxes

Bangkok air does fly direct from Chiang Mai to Siem Reap on thursday and saturday. It was reported that this flight had been discontinued during the low season but according to BA website it is still on for the summer low season. The normal fare is a ridiculous $277 before airport taxes, fuel charges, etc.
The SR to Pluket early mornimg flight with a change of planes in BKK is considered as one flight according to the BA office nearest me.
The taxes will amount to around $22 per flight plus airport fees.

Yes there is confusion over this morning flight. Some have had it counted as one coupon while others two. I can only say what the BA office told my friends this year when they inquired, that they considered this as a direct flight. If and when Waterlily books the tickets he will rhopefully report back on what happened.
