Thailand internal air
We've planned our itinerary and booked hotels, but now I need to book flights within Thailand and to Angkor Wat. We're traveling to Bangkok from the US on Delta/United (via Tokyo), so the internal flights will have to be separately booked. Any suggestions on how to approach this? Do I need a travel agent or can I do this myself online or by phone with an airline? We'll be flying between Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Siem Reap and Koh Samui. Thanks!

You will have to book your flights for Siem Reap and Koh Samui with Bangkok Air since they are the only airline that flies from Bangkok to there. To save some money you could get their Discovery Airpass for these segments. Cost would be $370 as compared to normal fare of $497.
From Bangkok to Chiang Mai Bangkok Air has a special (cheaper than pass) of $121 return. Or you could fly on one of the discount airlines for around $92
Bangkok Air site is http://www.bangkokair.com/

Thanks for the advice. I'll check out Bengkok Air. Another question: Do you know whether I'll have to go through Bangkok for each of the flights? We've structured the itinerary to start in Bangkok, then Chiang Mai, Angkor Wat, Koh Samui and back to Bangkok, but we could probably rearrange if it is possible to fly direct from one place to another without a stop in Bangkok. Thanks for any insight you can provide.
