airfare within Cambodia

Hello,
I am planning to fly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and a few days later from Siem Reap to Bangkok . Is it possible to buy the tickets at the last minute in Cambodia . we are planning to travel at the end of november . Would the flights be usually full at this time of the year and any idea of the airfare cost ?
Thank you !

You could do the trip by bus or by speedboat (more interesting and adventurous)....but the following link might assist http://www.canbypublications.com/cambodia/airlines.htm
the flight is about 45 minutes.

You better buy these now as you have only 1 airline that flys these cities. Bangkok Air code shares with Siem Reap airlines. You can't purchase the Phnom Penh to Siem Reap ticket on their Web site; you must send an email or call them. They will put the ticket on hold and you have to pick it up in the Bangkok Airways Phnom Penh office. At least this was my experience when attempting to buy a flight for November. Also, Bangkok Airways has an amazing special of only 2000 baht from Bangkok to Phnom Penh for select dates. This is half of what it normally is and you can buy this on their Web site. Flights are already filling up into mid-November.

Yep, I agree Mitch and Obersee,

I just want to add that you should buy the airticket in advance. November is considered to be high season in Cambodia, therefore everything should be prepared prior to the departure date.

For the boat, it would be great since you arrive Cambodia on Nov. The level of water in Tonlesap Lake high enough for the speed boat to run. And it will take you 6-7 hours from 7:00am to 12:30pm.

For the flight, now, there are two companies flying between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.

1. Angkor Airway http://www.angkorairways.com
2. Siem Reap Airway http://www.siemreapairways.com

It seems that there is another one : AirAsia : fly from Siem Reap to Bangkok. But I can not recall it.

Here is one of the good websites to check the airfare in Cambodia or even book your tickets, since I have tried to book with them before:

Bangkok Air is the only airline that flies between Bangkok and Siem Reap. Air Asia flies between Bangkok and Phnom Penh though, as does Thai Air.
