Hi All,
im planning on spending my 21st Birthday in Phuket,
I would like a place that is elegant, pretty and becuase my birthday falls on the 14th of Febuary (Valentines Day) i would like it to be a little romantic also?

The Boathouse Wine and Grill at Mom Tri's is set overlooking the beautiful Kata Beach.

The Food,View and Winelist are all absolutely sublime. It is expensive by Thai standards but not outrageously, particularly for a special occassion.

How many people are going and who is picking up the bill? At around $3000 baht per person, I can recommended the Thai degustation menu, matched with some extraordinary wines. For around half of that, you can have just the food if you are not a wine person.

Also look at Mom Tri's Kitchen, the restuarant at the Villa Royale property. It is more romantic than the Boathouse Grill, which I've dined at several times. Both the Kitchen and Grill are owned (or WERE anyway) by Mom Tri, and both have exceptional service and wine selection. The Kitchen is just more romantic! Take a look. You can probably google it.

(It's Mom Tri's Bob, not mom's tri) Have you dined at the Kitchen? I think I told you about it and you and K tried it, and I think you enjoyed it. Did you do the Boathouse Grill as well?
Carol

BTW... an email just today from Trip Advisor had a "Where is this?" photo on the front page... it was Sky Bar at Labua State Tower! Gorgeous!

Maybe this will help you. The Grill is in a building. The Kitchen is (or was) located on outdoor terraces overlooking the sea and Kata Noi Beach. The tables at the Kitchen seem to be more isolated, or given their own private location. Does that make sense? The Grill is fabulous!!! You cannot go wrong with either selection. This I know for sure, as I've dined at both places, several times each. This is a tough decision for you to make.
