Volotea airlines

In my quest to avoid booking with Alitalia, I saw a flight on Volotea available. Has anyone used this airline? It is a non-stop, Bari to Palermo, good time of day, inexpensive; Alitalia routes us through FCO. The reviews range from horrible to outstanding which doesn't help me make a decision. Thanks for any insight you can share.

And it’s vs. Alitalia which may be gone by time of our October trip. Yes, I had seen those reviews thus my conflicts! Thanks for your reply.

Looks like your choice is between slim and Jim and Jim is on his way out of town. Good luck!

Our flight from Bari to Palermo impressed us. Carry on luggage wasn’t weighed. Check on was fast at the Bari airport and the on time flight was fine in every way. This 55 min flight was a better choice than taking two flights on Alitalia with a layover at FCO. I would not hesitate to book anothet flight with Volotea.
