Upgrade Questions

We recently bought coach tickets to London on United and used frequent flyer miles to upgrade to business class. This is the first time we have ever done it. I have a couple of questions. Can we check in for our flight at the business class counter? Can we use the airline lounge during our connection? Will we be treated differently than people who paid for their business class tickets? Thanks.

We've upgraded several times and always felt we treated well, used the lounges, even showered while waiting for connecting flight in Frankfurt. The only thing is that we could not pre-reserve the exit row seats which the Premier level frequent fliers can. We were even given the left over box of Godiva chocolates at the end of the flight! <BR>To check out the best seats, go to www.seatguru.com, then click on United.

Can you really use the airline lounges while traveling on an upgrade ticket?

While you won't get the extra mileage for flying business or first if upgraded, you are allowed to use the lounges by presenting the ticket.
