tight connection in Portland

My friends want to come to Portland to meet up with my boyfriend and myself prior to the flight to southern France (Toulouse or Marseille) so that we can travel together. The connection for their arrival from LAS to the next leg (STL or MSP) will be 45 minutes. Probably a Northwest flight. What do you think? Will the baggage likely make it? They aren't able to come in the night before.

Portland aiport is small. 45 minutes should be no problem.

I'm still trying to figure out if it is Portland Maine or Portland Oregon. I think it is Maine.

I'm putting my money on Oregon.

Coming from LAS - Las Vegas and the OP's name is PDX - Portland Oregon.

45 minutes is plenty of time.

Why don't you book them on LAS-MSP-xxx?

This way they don't need to fly the extra miles and get up extra early to fly up to PDX.

Thank you for the reassurance, it's definitely what I wanted to hear/read.
Wally, are you out there still pondering the possibilities?
rkkwan, I'm having difficulty matching up our flights to meet in MSP. Though, now, I realize it's because of the price difference that I've been dismissing meeting in MSP. Their flight up here adds $100 each. I'll check to see if it's a similar cost meeting in MSP. I've been using itasoftware. The cheaper airfares have us going through STL and them going through MSP. But if it comes out approximately $200 either way, we'll go with meeting in MSP. Whew!

You may be better off calling the airline directly than trying to do it yourself. STL is not a hub, so I doubt you'd fly through there.
