Has anyone purchased tickets on eBay? What was your experience like? Thanks for any information on this--I'm sceptical but maybe shouldn't be?

I buy a lot of things on eBay. Airline tickets aren't one of them. I don't use Expedia or Travelocity either, preferring to deal directly with the airline myself.

I just went to the "travel" link in ebay and they had tickets to various places. Looked like good rates, but I'm not sure about them and thought the experts here might know.

When I go to the "Travel" category and then the "Airline" sub-category, all I see are donated tickets with proceeds going to charities.

Those can be legit. Various airlines sometimes have something like that too. I believe SQ also put the first A380 tickets on ebay, again with proceeds going to charities.

WOW--I get lists of regular tickets that can be purchased. Wondering if anyone else does or has used these?
